This checklist is completed by the assessor together with the applicant(s) during the home visit.
Note: it is not possible for this checklist to cover every possible risk in the home environment, either now or in the future. It's intended to prompt assessor and applicant to identify areas of risk or concern together, discuss them, and agree on any changes needed. A common-sense, collaborative approach should be taken when working through any issues that arise.
The applicant's home must be hygienic, appropriately furnished, safe, and in line with Australian Standards and community expectations.
